Congratulations to 2023 San Saba Graduate Jesus Betancourt! My husband Larry and I knew the Betancourt family when they lived in Mexico. They visited San Saba when Pastor Gabriel from Mexico was a speaker at The Father's House and fell in love with the people and San Saba. Larry moved them to San Saba, and we enjoyed their friendship and get-togethers.
Sister Mirla Reyes called me last week on her way to Martha Burnham's. I was blessed with our cheerful and loving conversation. I also got a call from Yvonne Contreras. Yvonne is the Advertising Director of the San Saba News & Star, and we have stayed in touch since I worked there. We have a special bond now as we are widows.
The following scripture is good advise for everyone, especially graduates, who need direction in their lives. James 1:2-5 The Living Bible......Dear brothers, is your life full of difficulties and temptations? Then be happy, for when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow, and don't try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete. If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask Him, and He will gladly tell you, for He is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask Him; He will not resent it.
