On the front page of the April 27th edition of the San Saba News & Star was the unfortunate report that 'Local police investigating presumed murder-suicide incident.' I know as a community you are aware of this and relying on God for help.

I reported several months ago that I was trying to find Glenda Owens, and gave the words to the song Side By Side, Hand In Hand that God gave to her. I gave up after going to Granville where Glenda worked at a bank where I did the banking for the company I worked for and didn't get any information. On Friday, April 28th, I was looking through some papers and photos for scrapbooking and found a church bulletin of the Covenant Christian Church of God in Mount Vernon, Ohio, dated July 13, 2003, that listed Glenda as Children's Church Director. I called the church and was given Glenda's cell phone, called her, made arrangements to meet in Newark, Ohio, last Saturday, May 6th. What a wonderful reunion we had and marveled how God made this happen! We plan to keep in touch.

I looked at my phone this morning after breakfast and saw that I missed three phone calls last evening. At the time of the calls, my phone was beside me when I was watching TV and did not ring, and my watch usually buzzes when I have a message but did not. One call was from Margie Wagner, so I will call her after I finish this article. I have the assurance that God NEVER misses our prayers; He knows our thoughts and intentions. Yesterday at church, a young woman shared a message from God on March 22nd that she wrote down. I wrote down two things that really spoke to me and is important. 1. Don't make choices on your emotions. 2. God will close and open doors for you.

The Living Bible...Hebrews 13:5...Stay away from the love of money and be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will NEVER, NEVER fail you nor forsake you.”
