Juan Cano came from Mexico to live with us to attend school in San Saba. It was amazing how he conquered the English language because we have different spelling for words that sound the same. Some examples include: ant, aunt; see, sea; be, bee; do, dew; so, sew; doe, dough; flee, flea; and here, hear.

My husband, Larry, and I took a Spanish class with Mary Huron as the teacher. Larry did very well but I did not. However, I learned to say “No savey”...did I spell that correctly? Well, I checked my Webster's Spanish-English Dictionary and 'savey' is not listed, so I wonder what I was saying or spelling?

When I was in Mexico years ago, Pastor Gabriel's brotherin- law saw me go into the men's restroom at church and guarded the door. How embarrassing, but thankful for the watchful help. Now that I have mentioned Mexico, it was great to hear that Michael and Amanda Brand are in Mexico or just coming back.

There is a children's song that is meaningful for adults also. Verse #l - Oh be careful little tongue what you say for the Father up above is looking down in love, so be careful little tongue what you say. #2 - Oh be careful little eyes what you see... #3 - Oh be careful little ears what you hear... #4 - Oh be careful little feet where you go... #5 - Oh be careful little hands what you do....

Ephesians 5:15-17 – Thompson Chain Reference Bible: ..... See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
