Alice in Wonder Land

Glenda Owens, an Ohio friend, wrote this poem following a dream on March 12, 2002. Her sister put it to music, and we sang it at church services in Ohio and Texas.

Side By Side, Hand in Hand Chorus: Bring me closer every day, draw me closer to Your side, Side By Side, Hand in Hand, All the way.

Verse 1: So much time I have wasted on the things that matter not, all the while the Father's calling “come and walk with me my child; come take My hand, come to My side, and here abide.”

Verse 2: At the Father's side victory abounds, joy and peace can be found, bring your burdens and your fears; call to Him through your tears. Come take His hand, come to His side and here abide.

I want to get in touch with Glenda since I moved back to Ohio, but it will be difficult because I don't know where she lives. Also, if she doesn't have a landline, her phone number would not be listed. I plan on going to Park National Bank in Granville, Ohio, where she worked 17 years ago.

The trees are sprouting leaves, and the woods near my condo in Zanesville, Ohio, will be green again. That means winter is gone; all endings are new beginnings! There are different kinds of endings. End of: a day, a life, a job, schooling, marriage, and etc. The song above reminds us to draw close to God where victory abounds, joy and peace can be found.

Isaiah 40:31, King James Version...But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
