Alice in Wonder Land

My Ellie was looking very intently at the wooded area at the end of my condo building, so I went to investigate and saw two doe and their fawns. I went deer hunting with Larry here in Ohio, but now I got a great shot at them with the camera on my phone.

In my daily diary on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, I wrote that Larry was the speaker at the prison and I introduced him as The Choir Director's husband. He responded that we had been married for 52 years and he loved me 52 times more.

Jenny took me out to eat this past Wednesday before leaving Thursday for four days to celebrate their anniversary.

Saturday, I went to a Jam Fest by the 6th Street bridge in Zanesville where the music team from the Northgate Church in Dresden sang. People registered before I got there, so people received gifts when their names were called. Then, they announced there was a gift for the oldest person, so someone who was 76 held their hand up. Then, it was asked if anyone was older, and I lifted my 80-year-old hand and received a $50 gift card from Lenny's Hair Design and Spa!

The music team presented a great program in spite of the hot sun on the stage. A young man caught my eye that had the appearance of being homeless. I looked at him again and realized that it could be a young man that was in San Saba and sang along with me in front of the courthouse when I was doing a concert on Trade Day around five or six years ago. I talked with him, and sure enough - it was Titus! I don't know why God placed him in my life again, but I will surely pray for him.

I will quote a reading from Oswald Chamber's Daily devotional today to end this week's column: “When once you are rightly related to God by salvation and sanctification, remember that wherever you are, you are put there by God; and by the reaction of your life on the circumstances around you, you will fulfill God's purpose, as long as you keep in the light as God is in the light.”
