Alice in Wonder Land

We have had several frosts here in Zanesville, Ohio, so the trees are changing to their beautiful fall colors. At my family home in Dresden, Ohio, we had a buckeye tree in our backyard. The buckeye looks like a nut because it has a shell, but it is not edible. The Ohio State football team in Columbus, Ohio, is known as The Buckeyes. When we moved to Texas in 2006 and lived on 9th street in San Saba, our new neighbors, the Vaughns, invited us to watch the Buckeyes play a Texas team that had a quarterback from San Saba. I remember who won the game and the confirmation that we had great neighbors.

I have been bombarded by things I don't need in my mail, phone and computer. This notice on my computer says: McAfee Malware Detected!... It goes off and then: Critical Virus Alert!....However, THEY are the virus! I will call Tim in San Saba to help me get rid of this again. When my mail is addressed to Alice Smith or current resident, it goes in the trash, and if I get a call from Texas not on my friend list, I don't answer it. I only have two channels on my TV because if I connect to a provider it would cost around $60.00 a month with a lot of channels I don't need.

All these communication 'systems' are great, but I know that the best one is prayer and a right relationship with God. The apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Ephesus (Ephesians 1:17&18)...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the Knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
