Alice in Wonder Land

It is great to tell that my dear friends I reported about last week are back home and recovering very well.

My dear friends Edward and Diana are making a trip to Ohio soon to visit their son and family and plan on visiting me. I am looking forward to that!

On my way home from visiting my daughter Jenny and husband Bill Friday for dinner, it began to snow (it snowed around two to three inches) again. Bill's mother Judy was at the dinner, and we plan to get together again soon. I commented on the beautiful ring she was wearing that matched her lovely nail polish. She looked so happy as she told me the ring was a gift from Jim, her boyfriend, on Valentine's Day. When Jenny and I were coming back from visiting my granddaughter and family on Valentine's Day, I mentioned that her dad always treated me with chocolate covered strawberries and a card, and we ate out at a restaurant on Valentine's Day.

Cynthia Brand texted from Mexico this past weekend and gave photos and reported on the trip with a group of 11 from The Fathers House. Oh, how I wanted to be there with them but so grateful that what God has done through Larry and others is thriving.

I talked with my 'singin' sister' Karen this morning, and we got updates on our families and activities. I told her that I have been listening to a CD by SWOWCT (Singing Women of West Central Texas) and sing my Alto 2 part with them. I will close this week's column with words from the song We Believe:

In this time of desperation, when all we know is doubt and fear, there is only one foundation: We believe, we believe...... We believe in God the Father, We believe in Jesus Christ. We believe in the Holy Spirit, and He's given us new life......So let our faith be more than anthems, greater than the songs we sing, in our weakness and temptations, we believe, we believe.....And the gates of hell WILL NOT prevail for the power of God has torn the veil. Now we know Your love will never fail. We believe!
