Saturday, September 28th, San Saba Rotary held their 10th Annual Golf Tournament. This tournament is the source for Rotary Scholarships given to qualifying Rotary Honor Students at our Honor Student Banquet in May. It is estimated we raised between $18,000 and $20,000 this year! Many thanks go to Aleck Newby, the Rotary Club Chairman for this event, as well as all of our Sponsors. Besides our Corporate Sponsors (Moak Casey, CTTC, Chase Pecan, and LCRA), we also had over 75 local businesses and individuals sponsor a hole. What great community support we have!
Our winners this year were: in First Place winning $800 - Team Hibler; in Second Place winning $400 - Team Ace Disposal; in Third Place winning $200 - Team Shahan; and in Fourth and Fifth Places each winning $100 - teams Bishop and Landes. Congratulations to these winners!
