Rotary Minute
Celia Bell, board member at the San Saba County Historical Museum, was the guest speaker at last week’s Rotary Club meeting. The meeting was held at Pepperbelly's on Thursday, August 3rd, at noon.
Celia chairs the Curb Appeal Committee for the museum and she shared the story of the recent completion of a project which is now visible for all to enjoy on the outside of the museum. The theme of the project is “The Waters of San Saba County,” and it consists of a series of 11 large panels each depicting a part of San Saba County history and how it has been influenced by our waters. Native Americans, Early Settlers, Flooding, Pecans, Bridges, and Wildlife are some of the subjects of these beautiful and informative panels.
Celia encouraged everyone to visit this permanent display in Mill Pond Park which was made possible in part by donors, the City of San Saba, FoundTx, the Prynt Shop and a grant from LCRA.
