The winner takes all

On Sunday, two opposing teams met, and only one walked the winner. History was made as the two mighty teams met up for that one last final encounter for Super Bowl LX. They both have acquired the best players and have made their battle plans. Each team has a varied and very able arsenal of personnel.

That event reminds me of a great event mentioned in the Bible that is going to take place in the future. It is the one last and final battle between the good and evil forces of this world.

Some think the final battle will take place on the plains Megiddo, (Esdraelon) ( Revelation 20:8-9).

One team or army will be led by Satan and his forces which include the beast, the false Prophet, demonic forces, unclean spirits and fallen Angels, ( Revelation 13:1-18, 16:13-16).

The other team or army will be led by Jesus Christ, and following Him will be the armies of Heaven, ( Revelation 19:11-19).

Jesus Christ and His armies will be the winners.

Revelation 17:14 They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.

Revelation 20:7-10 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. 9 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven[a] and consumed them, 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Whose team are we on?

If we have never repented of our sins, acknowledged or owned up to them, we are not forgiven.

If we confess, He will forgive.

1 John 1:9-10 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

We must call upon Jesus to be our Lord and Savior.

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

Only then is our name written in the Lambs book of Life.

Revelation 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Then we are on the winning Team.

See you in Church next Sunday.
