Last week, I was doing some shopping, and as I was strolling down the aisles, I noticed something. Some people seemed so happy and were walking briskly. On the other hand, there were some people that were walking slowly and didn’t seem to be happy. I am usually an upbeat person, but for some reason I am kind of down. We have had lots of family, which I love and thankful for, but my quiet time reading the Bible and praying has suffered.
My feeling down and not totally trusting my feelings can be a way of God getting my attention. So, I am trying to get back to reading the Bible, in other words, letting God speak to me, (Psalm 46:10, Hebrews 4:16).
I know when I read the Bible and I can spend time in prayer, things seem to brighten up, (Isaiah 41:10, 26:3, 1 Peter 5:7).
Joy comes into my heart, but sometimes I feel a burden to confess some wrong attitudes or things I am not doing just right, (1 John 1:9, 10, Joshua 1:8). I know God loves me very much and paid a great price for my salvation, (Lamentations 3:22, 23, Romans 8:32, John 3:16, Romans 5:8).
I knew before I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior something wasn’t right. But when I did, what a joy and relief and new life, (Luke 2:9-11, John 5:24, Titus 3:5). See you in Church next Sunday.
