All candidates are reminded that the Republican Primary Filing Period officially opens Saturday, November 11th. Candidates for local races may only file with the County Chairman, and I will be in the County Courthouse, accepting applications and filing fees, from 10:00 a.m. until noon that day. I will also post my contact information in the Courthouse, on the Notices bulletin board, should candidates need to contact me for any reason after this day.
Additionally, per the Texas Election Code, I am announcing that I will be available in the County Courthouse on the last day to file, Monday, December 11th, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., which is the deadline for submission of candidate applications. No applications will be accepted after 6:00 p.m. on that date.
Our Republican Primary season is already shaping up to be an exciting one.
