1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of the Lord concerning you.” Thanksgiving is probably my favorite time of year, right up there with Christmas. It’s during this time that we set aside a certain day for reflection, remembrance and thanksgiving. We should be thankful for all the blessings of God throughout the previous years. It is a time of sweet fellowship with family, friends and with the Lord. I’m thankful for every blessing that I have received from our gracious and loving Lord Jesus Christ. The blessing of His undeserved salvation, his bountiful provisions, his healing, his comfort, his grace, his protection, his peace, his enduring mercy, and an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for me.
My heart is overwhelmed when I think of the wonderful family that he placed me in; both fleshly and spiritually. I am a child of God, and with that comes all the benefits that go with it. An heir of God and a joint heir of Jesus Christ, meaning I have access to everything God owns, and He owns everything, therefore I have no needs that He cannot provide. All I can say is: Thank You, Jesus, thank You, Jesus. I want to praise and worship Him for Who He is. Happy Thanksgiving!
