Sally Gossett

My name is Sally Gossett, and I am running for a seat on the Richland Springs School Board. My children are fourth generation graduates of Richland Springs. The school and community mean a lot to our family.

I was on the School Board for 15 years. I am so proud that I was a part of a great team that was able to make our school successful.

I am running for school board to help make Richland Springs ISD the best school it can be and to make the best decisions so that every student can be successful. I believe that putting God first is the most important thing. Community involvement, great teachers, and Christian morals are really important to a successful school.

I am so blessed to be a part of such a great community.

Jason Lewis

Howdy! My name is Jason Lewis and I’m running for a seat on the RSISD School Board. I believe in the power of strong schools that challenge kids academically and support them athletically while prioritizing safety.

Education is the foundation for our kids to have the best opportunities no matter where they’re headed after graduation. Our teachers deserve support in the classroom with updated resources to best serve our students.

I believe in the power of athletics because sports teach life lessons like teamwork, responsibility, and humility. I’ll advocate for our athletic programs because they bring our community together.

None of this matters without safety. Every child deserves to feel supported and safe at school. I fought for the implementation of the RSISD Police Department and will continue to push for smart safety measures.

I promise to listen, learn, and lead with my heart. As a neighbor, alumni, and parent with common sense and critical thinking, I want to help make Richland Springs better! I’d be honored to earn your vote. Thank you. “Coyotes Fight, Never Die!”

Kendra Oldham

My name is Kendra Oldham. My children attending schools in RSISD are William, Lucas, and Kathleen will be starting this coming fall.

I am running for the Richland Springs School Board because I believe in service and would like to be involved in the future direction of our school. I look forward to being a part of the growth of our academics, the advancement of our CTE program, and the continued success of our athletic program. I have been a part of this wonderful community my whole life and am so very grateful my kids get to experience the same.

Nick Taylor

My name is Nick Taylor. I’m a fifth generation landowner deeply committed to making our community a better place to live and work. I have two children attending RISD. I believe excellence in student outcomes is directly linked to excellence in school employees. We must keep the bar high for our students. I believe that local landowners like myself should have a voice in how our tax dollars are spent. I am a believer in Christian values, high quality education, a balanced budget, and competitive athletes that our budget will allow. I would like to see the district continue to show improvement in the direction of education, discipline, and school pride at the forefront of all board decisions. My commitment to service includes the school board, volunteer work in the Elm Grove VFD, RS Youth Baseball Association, RS Rodeo Association and numerous disaster relief efforts. Our kids deserve the very best.
