As I write this on Monday, October 26th, we have had about 950 Early Voters in San Saba County…many thanks to all of you who have already voted early.
In Texas, the early vote is setting records across the state, with over 4.2 million having voted in the first eight days of early voting, compared to a total of just under 4.5 million for the entire Republican and Democrat Party Primaries in March.
Voters are motivated, so please ensure your vote is added and counted. You can still vote early, but if you miss out, Election Day is your chance to make your voice heard.
Rural counties make up just about 40% of the voting population, but if we don't vote in large numbers, the big cities (i.e. Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, and Austin) choose our leaders…and we know how that usually turns out. Not good for us.
There are many stories of how just a few votes changed an election, so every vote truly matters. We need your vote more than ever this year to make sure our choices become our leaders.
Forget about the election ads, the mailers, the phone calls, the mudslinging, and the insults you've heard over and over.
Simply think about which person…which Party…will represent your beliefs, your hopes and your desires for our government. Have faith in that choice and cast your ballot accordingly.
Our county, our state, our country needs you this election.
