Oh no, drudgery again

I just went through a spell of it and I am back on track again, but it can happen any time. I cannot explain all the reasons.

Maybe we want a change or feel like what we do does not really make a big difference.

It could be, we do not feel appreciated.

I worked with a man years ago that was really an inspiration to me. He was always on time for work and had such a good attitude. He was ready to work no matter what and worked faithfully all day in the cold or heat regardless of the weather or job.

Sometimes the work was fairly easy and not messy and others hard and dirty, but he never gripped or complained. His attitude and work ethic reminds me of something in the Bible.

God wants us to be faithful in all we do. It pleases Him when we are faithful even in the seemingly trivial or insignificant tasks.

Luke 16:10-12 “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. 11 If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?

He also promised if we can be faithful in small or little things He may entrust us with bigger things.

Matthew 25:21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

Thank goodness, the God we love and serve is a faithful God and fulfill all He has promised.

1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

God wants us to be faithful...

ministers or preachers - Ephesians 6:21 So that you also may know how I am and what I am doing, Tychicus the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord will tell you everything.

Church leaders and teachers - 2 Timothy 2:2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

women - 1 Timothy 3:11 Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things.

and all Christians - Revelation 2:10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

See you in Church next Sunday.
