Chairman Gleeson issued a memorandum on Thursday, August 6th to schedule the August 14th Commissioners meeting. Landowners do not need to attend the PUC meeting, but they can watch a live or recorded broadcast of the meeting discussed in the Friends of the San Saba by Dave Clark in side this edition. San Saba is one of the Dockets to be discussed: Docket No. 59475; SOAH Docket No. 473-26-16349 — Joint Application of Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC and LCRA Transmission Service Corporation to Amend their Certificates of Convenience and Necessity for the Bell County East Switch to Big Hill Substation 765kV Transmission Line Project in Bell, Burnet, Concho, Coryell, Lampasas, Llano, Mason, Mc-Culloch, Menard, Milam, Mills, San Saba, Schleicher, Tom Green, and Williamson Counties.
After listing the Docket No. to be included in the meeting, his memorandum ended with the following words.
I requested this open meeting because I want to discuss policy issues with my fellow Commissioners and ERCOT related to the development and implementation of the Permian Basin Reliability Plan, including the three 765-ki-lovolt (kV) import paths required under that plan.
Because this discussion will raise issues common to the pending 765-kV transmission line CCN proceedings, I wanted to provide notice in each of the above-referenced dockets that we are having this discussion. But I also want to provide clarity to all affected parties—the purpose of this meeting is not to discuss facts or circumstances specific to any individual transmission line proceeding. No final decisions will be made regarding any individual transmission line at this open meeting. Before the Commission can make a final decision in each case, a proposal for decision must properly be before the Commission for consideration at a future open meeting and the parties in each case have an opportunity to present oral argument to the Commission.
In addition to the status of Batch 0, I would also like to hear from ERCOT on their plan for auditing all data centers advancing through ERCOT’s interconnection process and plans for collecting additional information as instructed in the Governor’s letter.
