Spring break at Cherokee Home for Children was filled with fun, adventure, and meaningful moments for our kids. Thanks to the thoughtful planning of our house parents, each cottage enjoyed a variety of special activities tailored just for them. From camping, hiking, and kayaking to go-cart riding, biking, shopping, visiting an aquarium and sharing special meals, the week was full of memorable experiences. Each group celebrated in its own way! A highlight of the week was an outdoor movie night hosted by our Transitional Living Cottage, bringing the entire campus together for an evening of fun and fellowship. Be sure to check out our Facebook page to see other fun adventures during Spring Break!
Our next big event will be Cherokee Day on May 2nd. Our favorite day of the year will be here soon, and we'd love to see you there! This year will be extra special as we'll kick things off at 10:00 a.m. with the ribbon cutting for our new Richard W. Zipp Transitional Living Center! The day will also include cottage tours, our famous Barbecue lunch, activities, and testimonials from our seniors! Cherokee day also allows an opportunity to donate funds or food items that will help feed our kids all year! Scan the QR code for the donation link.
We can’t thank you enough! Your generosity and support make a big impact in the lives of our kids!
