Again, I take full responsibility for my comments and Musings. Reading our Congressman, Mr. Pfluger, makes me wonder if he, too, should require a disclaimer! Oh, well!

It has been interesting to me to review all the things happening in the news recently. We all want to be out of Afghanistan with our citizens and our allies safe! Pray for that!

Mr. Trump is accepting praise for initiating the process, but then laying blame on Mr. Biden for the problems. If you are a news follower as I am, reading information not skewed but from reliable sources, honest and in the public domain, you will know of Olivia Troye, former aide to Vice President Pence, who describes her frustration in attempting to facilitate the allies escaping from Afghanistan and Iraq for several years while being thwarted by Stephen Miller and other Trump officials. This is corroborated by Elizabeth Neumans, a former member of the Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Trump is guilty of speaking out of both sides of his mouth! Again! But enough of that!

Some readers did not like my use of the word “insurrection” for the January 6th brouhaha at the United States Capitol! Again, the description was taken straight from the public domain! I could have described the January 6th activity as a riot, a revolution, as sedition, as treason, ad. infinitum! I didn’t, just used the word in the public domain, “the facts, ma’am, just the facts!”

Was interesting also to hear the dissatisfaction of the North Carolina “bomber” Floyd Ray Roseberry near the Capitol and the Library of Congress this past week. It seems some of his anger was that he did not have access to medical assistance. Interesting, wonder if he ever applied for Obama Care??? Oh, well!

Enough of that! Poking a rattler in a cage can get oneself bitten!

I mentioned that my well and water went down more than two weeks ago! Whoopee! As of Friday, I now have water, and I can wash dishes and do laundry with aplomb! Fun and games! I learned that I am a pretty good sport and might make it as a pioneer, but I much prefer running water and all it provides. Flushing commodes with buckets is for the birds! Or at least for someone else! A day or so like during the February Deep Freeze is one thing! For more than two full weeks, not my cup of tea!

Another ranch insight!...My old donkey, Chilo, which I have had for more than 27 years and which I dearly love, is gaining weight again. Thank goodness! He had gotten so thin because he, like many of us not-so spring chickens, no longer moves very fast, and the goats would take away his oats. I moved him into my fenced yard, and he is looking much better! He gets his own special food and is trimming my flowers and grass while fertilizing them too! Nature’s own!

His progeny, five jacks, and a friendly rescue miniature donkey, also compete with the goats for the oats, but they move much faster. My horses like to sleep in so they don’t get to overeat often, but they, too, ate more than Chilo. Not anymore! Getting fat and sassy, my old boy!

Read! Like Socrates, you should always question! Hence, my Musings! And, best of all, have a really good week! Peace be unto you!
