I did not go to church on Sunday, January 12th, because of the weather conditions. The christian radio station FM 104.5 provided wonderful praise music, and the Daily Wisdom For Women gave a good sermon. A sentence in the last paragraph reads: 'Living, active faith believes that Jesus controls both the storms of nature (refers to Matthew 8:23-25) and the storms of life'. Up north, we have snow storms, and in California there is storming fires. It is devastating because thousands of people have lost their homes (everything in them) along with jobs, stores, churches, cars, restaurants, schools and etc. I look around my living room and see memories in the furnishings and decorations. I will enjoy them as long as I am able.
Pastor Tom Brand gave me an update recently on the mission work in Mexico. My husband Larry (1940-2020) made his first mission trip to Mexico in the 1980's. Prayers are needed for the people in Mexico because their raging storm is the Cartel.
Prophet Isaiah praises God in the Bible verse Isaiah 24:4 KJV... For Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
