I have wonderful memories of the Community Thanksgiving Meal in San Saba. It was cancelled because of the Covid pandemic in 2020. Because of circumstances beyond human control, it is gone but not forgotten how the entire community made it a free meal with donations appreciated. The remaining funds were given to the San Saba Ministerial Alliance.
Everything has a beginning and an ending including a song, a job, a sermon, a speech, education, a life, a meal and etc. We live in a country where we can choose our beginnings and endings. However, we have laws and regulations. Christians have the laws of the 10 Commandments given by God recorded in the Bible. When Jesus lived on this earth, He gave the best law: John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another as I have loved you, so you must love one another.
After church on Sunday, October 27th, I took the long way home via Newark, Ohio, to eat lunch and enjoy the breathtaking fall colorful trees and views. Last fall, my 95- year- old neighbor rode with me to enjoy the scenery. She is moving to Lancaster to be closer to family, and I will miss this dear friend. My friend Debbie Miller lives near Lancaster so I will plan to visit both of them. They are Forever Friends like the friends I have in the San Saba area. Y'all are a thought and prayer away and in my heart. By Faith we are One in the Spirit. The Spirit Filled Life Bible has this comment: Faith takes God at His Word when circumstances seem to deny the truth of His promises. Our ability to endure to the end will depend upon allowing the Holy Spirit to train us in this kind of faith.
