This week in Zanesville, Ohio, the temperature will be in the 90's reminding me when I lived in Texas. When my husband Larry and I moved from Ohio to San Saba in 2006 to be closer to mission work in Mexico, we had to adjust to high temperatures. So now the high temperatures remind me of precious memories.
Recently I laid a pencil down on my coffee table, and Dinah my companion cat got it. I saw her take it and put it under the living room rug. Then she came to me and meow, meow, meow!
I rescued my pencil, and Dinah expected the reward of petting. Dinah is so different than my companion dogs Maggie and Ellie. The dogs slept in their bed. Dinah sleeps with me in my bed. The dogs drank from their water dish. There is water for Dinah in bowls by her food and on the porch. However, Dinah climbs up on the kitchen counter and licks water from the faucet. I need to have the lid down on the toilet or, oh yes, she would.
I enjoyed celebrating the 65th anniversary of my high school graduation on Friday, June 14th, and with the Alumni on Saturday, June 14th, both in Dresden, Ohio. On Fathers Day, I had memories of my dad who died at the age of 51 when I was 16.
Second Corinthians 6:16c-18...NIV...As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people. Therefore, come out from them (unbelievers) and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty.
