Last Wednesday, May 14th, I got a text from Karen Whiting that she and Craig were passing through Zanesville and they would love to meet me for lunch. We met at the Cracker Barrel and shared news about family, friends and Singing Woman of SW Texas. What joy it brought to meet with them, and I have the photo to prove it!
On Thursday, May 15th, Cynthia sent me a text and photos from South Padre where she and Tom were on a two-day vacation with Gabriel and family from Mexico. The photos showed good weather and a good time.
Speaking of weather, it is strange that people in San Saba were praying for rain and then perhaps this month praying it would stop raining because of flooding. We have had a lot of rainey days here in Ohio. There was a tornado that touched down and destroyed a vacant old building 1 ½ miles from where my daughter Jenny and husband Bill life near Gratiot, Ohio, around 25 minutes from where I live. During that time, we had tornado warnings on our TV, so my companion cat Dinah and I went to our bathroom. I was on the floor by the bathtub, but Dinah thought it fun walking on and over the tub, toilet, sink and me! Cats are very different than dogs because my chocolate Labrador Ellie (July 10, 2010 to July 30, 2023) would shake and wanted to be near me before a storm was announced!
Nahum 1:3...KJV...The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
