Alice in Wonder Land

Hanging on my antique washstand are towels from the places I lived in Ohio, Texas, and from mission work in Mexico. Below them are angels representing these places. I have read books about angels, sung songs about them and want to know more. My friend Debbie Miller lives in Lancaster, Ohio, and supported and went to Mexico on mission trips. She shared with me that an angel came and helped her when the cap of her truck came off and landed on the road. The truck was loaded with goats that she feared would jump out. The angel picked up the heavy cap, placed it on the truck, secured it and was gone without a word. The compliment 'you are an angel' sounds great, but we cannot be compared with an angel. It is comforting to know there are angels to protect, defend, direct and help. They are called ministering angels. I am praying that the ministering angels will be with Margie Wagner who is in the hospital. It is difficult for me being this far away in Ohio when this dear friend is in the hospital in Texas. Our friendship, faith and trust in Almighty God will sustain us.

This article will be read after Mothers Day, 2024. When I lived in Texas, from 2006 to 2021, I received calls and cards from my daughter Jenny who lived in Ohio, on Mothers Day. This year, it was great being with her and the Crothers family, her in-laws. Families share their lives and help one another. Sunday morning, it was also great to be with 'the family of God' at Northgate Church in Dresden, Ohio.

NIV...Galatians 6:10...Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
