Two talented young artists, Enrique Mendoza and Maria Sanchez, brought home top honors April 25th after being awarded gold medals at the 2025 Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), one of the most competitive student art competitions in the state.
Held annually, VASE celebrates the creativity and technical skill of student artists from across Texas. There were close to 33,000 entries were submitted this year, only 2,300 advanced to the state meet.
