SSGC helping others

Members of the Community Service Committee of the San Saba Garden Club (SSGC) took advantage of the cooler weather and cleaned out the raised garden bed at the San Saba Rehabilitation Center backyard Wednesday September 13th. The summer heat was obviously welcomed by the purple and yellow lantana, day lilies, Greg's mist flower, cannas, and violets that were planted by Garden Club members in the past, but lots of nut grass also made its way into the soil along with some unfriendly fire ants! Laughter and fellowship made the work easy, and the job was accomplished in a short amount of time. We hope the residents of the Center enjoy seeing the happy flowering plants!

Thanks to these members for their hard work: Sarah Lott, Jan Beaver, and Susan Kissko, along with Jacqueline Carlson and Debbie Shahan.
