The San Saba Tennis Team had a busy week last week. The J.V. team played in the Brownwood JV Tournament on Tuesday, March 23rd. Playing in the tournament were: Polo Davila, Jose Aguilera, Justin Hernandez, Jacob Singleton, Everett Edison, Tanner Profitt, Minerva Vasquez, Jordan Brown, One Nguyen, Maritza Aguirre, Avery Tharp and Karol Guerrero. Jacob Singleton won First Place in Boys Singles and Minerva Vasquez won Third Place in Girls Singles.

On Friday, March 26th, the Varsity team played in the Hill Country Classic in Fredericksburg. Most of the teams at the tournament were 4A, 5A and 6A schools. Playing in the tournament were: Leia Kilman, Sarah Saint, Dana Luna, Mia Kilman, Damaris Patino, Irene Jimenez, Jazmin Gutierrez-Davila, Cadence Jimenez, Brinlee Johnson, C.J. Greenwell, Jonathan Perez, Jose Aguilera, Timothy Williams and Johnny Meador. Mia Kilman was a Consolation finals in Girls Singles.

On Saturday, March 27th, the Dillo Tennis Team hosted a tennis tournament in San Saba. We had three teams playing in the tournament: San Saba, Blanco and Lometa.

Playing in the tournament for San Saba were: C.J. Greenwell, Jonathan Perez, Jose Aguilera, Timothy Williams, Justin Hernandez, Damaris Patino, Minerva Vasquez, Natalie Cuevas, Sara Wysong, One Nguyen and Leia Kilman. In Boys Singles, C.J. Greenwell won First Place and Jonathan Perez came in Third Place. In Girls Singles, Minerva Vasquez will play Natalie Cuevas for third place next week.

In Boys Doubles, Jonathan Perez and Jose Aguilera came in Second Place. Timothy Williams and Justin Hernandez came in Fourth Place. In Girls Doubles, Damaris Patino and Leia Kilman will play One Nguyen and Sara Wysong for third place next week. In Mixed Doubles, Leia Kilman and Jose Aguilera will play One Nguyen and Justin Hernandez for third place.

We would like to invite everyone out to Dillos' courts on Thursday, April 1st, as the Armadillos will host a tournament again, this time with Burnet, Llano and Florence coming to town. The tournament will start at 8:00 a.m. and will last all day. This will be the final regular season tournament before the District Tournament. The District Tournament will be held in Mason on April 10th.
