The Richland Springs Coyotes moved to 3-1 as they defeated the Eagles of Bryan St. Joseph Catholic Academy 83-14.
The Coyotes were perfect through the air completing all 6 passes for 177 yards and 4 touchdowns. Cohen Ethridge found Eli Hutchins twice for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ethan Deeds connected with Brice Roesler (2-44yds) for a 21-yard touchdown and Evan Deeds found fellow freshman Trendon Vogel on a 10-yard scoring toss. Rush Norris also hauled in a 45yard reception.
On the ground, the Coyotes carried the ball 7 times and scored 4 touchdowns sparked by Ethridge's 3 carries for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns and Billy Perry's 2 carries for 36 yards both touchdowns.
Defensively, Rush Norris led the team in tackles with 10, Perry 6, Ethridge and Evan Deeds each with 4, Ethan Deeds, Christian McKinnerney, Roesler each tallied 3, and Ian McKinnerney with 2.
The Coyote defense forced 4 turnovers, Ethridge and Evan Deeds both intercepting passes while Norris and Perry each pounced on fumbles.
Special teams came up big again for the Coyotes as Ethan Deeds returned a punt and kickoff for a touchdown. Evan Deeds was 6 for 9 on extra points.
