Last week, our junior high Indians took on the Morgan Eagles, coached by Alan Berrio, former Indian coach, teacher, and alumni. It was a fun time for all and a great chance for our kids to see good sportsmanship in action. The Indians won with a final score of 46-6. Our JV team played Menard right after and did not fare as well on the scoreboard. However, their effort was unmatched. JV games are good opportunities for our athletes to get some game experience under their belts. It was a bye week for our varsity team. This week is homecoming week, so we are all gearing up for that!
This week is also Rock Your School week. Rock Your School is a nationwide movement in education with the goal of providing exciting learning opportunities for students. Our theme this year is “Rockin’ Acts of Kindness.” Each day students are given a kindness challenge. We also are seeing some fun room transformations, gamified lessons, music in the classrooms, and so much more! We will have more of a recap next week.
The FFA fruit and meat fundraiser will begin September 30th and will end October 11th, so keep your eye out for information. Hopefully an FFA member will contact you, but you can also contact the office or Mr. New for ordering.
