The varsity Lady Indians traveled to the Zephyr basketball tournament over the weekend. They placed 3rd overall. Maycie Shanklin was selected All-Tournament. The Cherokee Invitational Tournament will be held this coming weekend. Come out and support our basketball teams!

This Saturday, we will be holding the Wreaths Across America ceremony at Cherokee Cemetery at 10 a.m. This is a program where we place wreaths on veterans’ graves. This is our first year in the program so we were only able to order 10 wreaths. We are hopeful that it will grow, and we will be able to provide many more in the future!

Mrs. Courtney’s Pre-K class enjoyed their last session of Color Me Healthy. They learned about grains and made their own whole grain trail mix. We are so grateful that they had this opportunity for the last nine weeks.

Next week, our annual Christmas program will be held on Tuesday evening, the 19th, at 6 p.m. in the new gym. We would like to invite our community to this event. It will be full of entertainment and refreshments. Our last day of this semester will be on Wednesday, the 20th. School will release at 2:45 p.m. that day. There will be no school on Thursday, and school will resume on January 9th.

We hope you are enjoying this busy holiday season!
