Our junior high students have been filming the announcements each day, and it has been so fun to watch them learn leadership skills, speaking skills, and so much more. This week, a group of our elementary student leaders, Mandi Fry, Holdin Boswell, and Rein Hooten, joined in. They have been planning and researching to make their vision a reality, and it was such a joy to see them on screen. This week, they are collecting data and developing a plan for including other elementary students as well. We are looking forward to this special addition to our announcements.

We are getting ready to wrap up the first six weeks this week, and report cards will go out next week. By now, you should have a good idea of how your student is doing. It is a good idea to touch base with your child’s teacher every now and then to check in. Discuss your student’s grades with your child instead of just reviewing the grades while your student is off doing something else. This way you can address issues right away and give praise immediately as well. Make it a goal to set your student up for success this school year!
