This week has been light compared to the next month. October is notorious for being the busiest month of the school year with May coming in at a close second. Please keep an eye out for important notes coming home from your child’s teacher.

Last week, our football teams took on Cranfills Gap. Of the game, Coach Newman reports, “The JH boys football team suffered a tough loss on Thursday to Cranfills Gap. Robert Bench and Tatum Shanklin played well, working together for a touchdown pass and catch. We are proud that these young men struggled and fought to the end. We look forward to improving as individuals and as a team.”

Our varsity team fared better, winning the game with a 60-35 final score. Coach White says, “Senior, Erick Miller led the way on offense, and Kase Bodner led on defense with an interception and a receiving touchdown. Rode Ligon and Gunner Baugh both had big catches to put the game away.”

Our homecoming football game is this Friday, so come on out and support our Indians!
