Lady Coyotes move forward in District

The Richland Springs Lady Coyotes opened their District play Monday, January 4th, in Lometa. The Lady Coyotes were able to control the game from the opening tip and secure their first District win. Scoring was distributed throughout the entire team for the 62-26 win for the Lady Coyotes. Junior, Brynlii Chandler, led the Lady Coyotes in scoring by dropping in 17 points with freshman Ryleigh Bryant close behind contributing 13 points. Other scorers for the Lady Coyotes included: Freshman Raegan Wright & Lili Appleton 10 points each, Freshman Hailee Mack - 6, Junior Piper Moats - 4, and Junior Nancy Valdez - 2. Every member of the Lady Coyotes basketball team contributed in scoring and assisted in moving the Lady Coyotes to a 1-0 District record. The Lady Coyotes will move forward in District as they host Cherokee Lady Indians at 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 8th, at the Coyote gymnasium. Go Lady Coyotes!
