The San Saba Golden Armadillo Band participated in the Hill Country Marching Festival this past weekend in Fredericksburg. There were 17 total bands at the contest and six in conference 2A. San Saba's band finished second in class 2A, behind Harper, and sixth overall out of all classifications. San Saba finished second in the following captions for class 2A: Colorguard, Drumline, Front Ensemble, and Music. The band won the Marching caption award for their classification. The results in order for conference 2A are: Harper, San Saba, Mason, Junction, Johnson City, and Brackett. Harper, San Saba, and Mason finished 5th, 6th, and 7th overall for the day out of all classifications 2A-6A. The Golden Armadillo band will compete in the Tolar Marching Festival in Tolar on October 9th at 12:15.
