Football Friday was cancelled this week due to a lack of referees, so both junior high and high school teams traveled to Iredell Thursday night to take on the Dragons. After a lightning delay along with a rain shower, the junior high team won decisively with a score of 51-0 at the half. The varsity game was a little tighter, but the Indians maintained the lead throughout the game and ended up victorious. The final score was 76-50. This week, junior high will travel to Cranfills Gap on Thursday while high school will face Cranfills Gap here at home Friday night for the Homecoming game.
Our littlest Indians played in a flag football game on Saturday against San Saba. Brantley Shannon made his way into the endzone for a touchdown but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to snag the win. The final score was 6-18 in favor of the opponent. Next week, they will take on Menard at Mason at 1 p.m.
At our most recent PTC meeting, there was a lot of discussion about the football concession stand and ideas were given about how it can be run more efficiently. If you have ideas, we would encourage you to volunteer your time to help out. This is a big service we provide to our community and most of the problems can be fixed with extra help. Please contact Tiffany Latta, Kaci Morrison, Kari Owen, or Laura Gratz (PTC officers) if you want to pitch in!
College and Career day for the juniors and seniors will be next week on the 23rd. It takes place in Marble Falls. Meanwhile the cross-country teams will be running on that same day in Llano. The 24th is picture day, so dress in your best! Take note that October 2nd is a day reserved for parent teacher conferences. If you would like to visit with your child’s teacher about their progress, please contact them and set up a time to meet.
We hope everyone has a fantastic week!
