It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Barbara Kay Howard, born October 29, 1966 to Wayne and Mary Riser in Thibodeaux, Louisiana. Barbara left us unexpectedly on December 15, 2025 after a short hospital stay.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents both Riser and Gatliff. Her Father, Wayne Riser, her brother Cloyce Daniels, and her beloved daughter Stephanie Watkins.
She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Randy Cornell Howard. Her doting Mother, Mary Frances Riser. Her adoring son, Kerry Wayne Watkins. Her brother Wayne Riser and her sister Brenda Riser of Germany. Her brother Royce Daniels, and his wife June. Her sisters Joyce Simek, Lois (Shelly) Lindsey and her husband Doyle. Her youngest sister Michelle of Ft. Worth. Her beloved grandchildren Coy Simek, McKinsey Watkins, Brittany Simek, and Brayden Watkins. Her great grandchildren Asher Simek, son of Coy. Kalaiah and Kingston Howe, the children of McKinsey. One more expected great grandchild of Brittany. Last but certainly not least her beloved fur baby Charm. Too many Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins to list.
The memorial of her life will be held at the Church of Christ Fellowship Hall on January 10, 2026 from 1p.m. to 3p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the service.
