All 90 San Saba art students participated in the Texas Art Educators Association (TAEA) Big Art Day on March 2nd. Big Art Day is an art happening to raise awareness of art education and art as a creative force in our communities on a BIG statewide scale. It is an attempt by the TAEA to engage all art educators, their students and communities in a single day art event.
Each San Saba student was given a 5” X 5” canvas and painted a small section of a photo of old San Saba. Then the canvases were put together like a puzzle to create a mural. The mural is on display at the High School campus.
