Lady Dillos Clinch Playoffs
On Saturday afternoon in Armadillo Arena, the Lady Dillos used a strong scoring effort in the 1st and 3rd quarters to clinch a playoff spot by defeating Junction 48-26. Caroline McHam led San Saba with 11 points and 7 rebounds, and Chassidy Gonzales added 9 points, 4 steals and 3 steals. Olivia Lusty also scored 8 points.
On Friday night at Goldthwaite, the host Lady Eagles clinched the district title by defeating San Saba 45-32.
Goldthwaite is now 25-3 on the season and 10-1 in district. The Lady Dillos were led in scoring by Cinzlea Stanton 9, Olivia Sebastain 8 and Chassidy Gonzales 7.
The Lady Dillos host Johnson City on Tuesday in their district finale, and with a win, can will finish in a 3-way tie for 2nd place, with Harper and Mason.
