Receipts totaled 1,377 head with no sale held at Mason on Monday due to New Year’s holiday. The market started off very active for the first sale of 2023. Demand was strong with the stocker steers selling steady to $3 higher and the stocker heifers selling steady to $2 higher after the large increases we had the last two weeks of 2022. The feeder steers were $5-$10 higher, and feeder heifers were steady to $3 higher. Packer cows were $4-$10 higher ,and packer bulls were $5$8 higher. Pairs and bred cows were steady on a limited test.
