In another rivalry barnburner at Armadillo Arena, the Mason Cowgirls held off the San Saba Lady Dillos last Tuesday night 44-42 in overtime. Mason moved into sole possession of 1st place with the win. Olivia Sebastain paced the Lady Dillos with 12 points. Cinzlea Stanton added 10 points, and Chassidy Gonzales pitched in nine points, five rebounds and three steals for San Saba.
The Lady Dillos bounced back on Friday night with a 51--26 road win at Junction. Stanton led the way for San Saba with 16 points, six rebounds and four steals. Also scoring for the Lady Dillos were: Olivia Lusty nine, Olivia Sebastain seven, Chassidy Gonzales seven, Macy Sebastain seven and Caroline McHam five.
The San Saba girls (17-9, 3-1) returned to AA on Tuesday night for a 2nd-place battle with Goldthwaite. The Lady Dillos then hit the road to meet a muchimproved Johnson City squad on Friday.
