Lady Dillos split at Eula Tour
The San Saba varsity girls’ basketball team finished 2-2 at the Eula Holiday Classic last week. The Lady Dillos defeated Graford 46-37, lost to eventual tournament champ Stamford 23-44, beat Clyde 33-30, and then fell to Breckenridge 30-34. Over the four games, sophomore Cinzlea Stanton contributed 37 total points, and freshman Chassidy Gonzales pitched in 31 points for San Saba.
Two weeks ago, the Lady Dillos traveled to Harper and captured a 38-33 victory, led by Stanton’s 19 points and 6 rebounds. Gonzales added nine points and four rebounds. The San Saba girls are now 16-8 overall and 2-0 in district. This week, the Lady Dillos returned to 29-2A district play as they hosted 3-0 Mason on Tuesday, and then will travel to Junction on Friday.
