Varsity Player of the Week:
This week, we recognize 5’5 senior guard Olivia Lusty as the Varsity Player of the week. She has participated in tennis, track, cross country and basketball as well as cheer and UIL academics. Olivia competed on two State cross country teams, was honorable mention academic all-state this year, and is the cheer squad captain. She has also been named Rotary student of the Month and was on the Homecoming Queen Court. One San Saba ISD teacher Olivia would like to thank is Coach Robby Haynes. During her free time, she likes to drive, eat, watch TV, and hang out with friends. In the future, Olivia plans to attend Angelo State University, get a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and then become a travel nurse.
JV Player of the Week:
This week, we recognize freshman guard Danika Ramos. She plays basketball and softball, and is also in band, Dilloettes and HOSA. Danika participated at Area band contest this year and State band last year. One San Saba ISD teacher Danika would like to thank is Ms. Jenna McSherry. During her free time, she likes to eat, sleep, ride bikes and swim. In the future, Danika wants to play college softball and become a nurse.
