Varsity Player of the Week:
This week we recognize 5’2 senior guard/forward Virginia Diaz as the Varsity Player of the Week. She reached UIL State in band and basketball last year, and also participates in track and softball. San Saba ISD teachers that Virginia would like to thank are coaches Joe and Nicole Walts. She works a lot on the weekends, but during her free time she likes to sleep. In the future, Virginia plans to attend Sam Houston State University to study Pre-Med/and or Sports Medicine.
JV Player of the Week:
This week we recognize freshman wing Joana Correa as JV Player of the Week. She has participated in cross country and basketball so far this year. She is proud that she has been able to push herself in Athletics despite some chronic knee issues. One San Saba ISD teacher that Joana would like to thank is Ms. Mc-Sherry. In her free time, she likes to sleep, swim, eat and spend time outdoors. In the future, Joana would like to join the military.
