The Colorado Bend Store has completed the move into the old original Bend store in downtown Bend. Roger and Mary Tanner have really worked hard on making improvements on their new store location.

Two six foot angels were donated to the City for Christmas decorations and will be installed at the entrance of Mill Pond Park. The lights in downtown area are about 80% installed.

The San Saba Armadillos ended their 1995 season on a high note, giving Coach Terry Townzen his first victory as San Saba's head coach with a 25-21 win over the Florence buffaloes.

Civic Beautification Chairman Maxine Miffleton announced the club had placed second in State from Exxon Inc. for environmental improvements.

Congratulations to seniors, Jimmy Hill and Crystal Behrens for being named Mr. Football and Football Sweetheart, respectfully.

San Saba's 8th Grade Dillos stampeded the Florence Buffaloes by a score of 40-0 here, sewing up the district championship in the process. The 8th Grade Dillos were 7-1-1 on the season and 4-0-1 in District.

The Rylander Memorial Library was recently accredited as a member of the Texas State Library System for fiscal year 1996, according to Robert S. Martin, Director and Librarian of the Texas State Library.

Mr. Gary as well as other members of the faculty and staff of San Saba High School would like to recognize Katie Crenwelge for her superior work in Algebra I. Katie has completed all the Algebra I lesson requirements for the 1st semester. She is over six weeks ahead of the rest of the class.

San Saba 3rd and 4th grade students represented all the children at the Elementary School by presenting a short program honoring the veterans of our country on Veterans Day at the American Legion's Annual Prayer Breakfast at Diane's Restaurant.

San Saba girls' varsity basketball team won their first home game of the season with a win over Cross Plains, 79-22. Jeri Dyer led all scorers with 24, Megan Cisneroz and Shelby Hardy each had 12, Calea Turner, 11, Amber Perez and Alicia Torres, 6, Johnise Castillo, 5 and Madison Miles, 3.

The #1 ranked Richland Springs Coyotes dismantled the May Tigers by a score of 48-0! The Coyotes dominated the Bidistrict game from start to finish. The Tigers did not have a chance against the smothering Coyote defense!

A big congratulations goes out to the students in the San Saba FFA who participated in District contest in Lampasas. Whitney Key placed 3rd in Junior Creed Speaking, Courtney Womack also placed 3rd in Senior Creed Speaking and Megan McIntosh, Autumn Trevino an Leigh-Adella Rhoad placed 2nd in Radio Competition. Megan, Leigh-Adella and Autmn will advance to area. November 12, 2005 the 50th birthday of Debra Ann Bailey Arpe, Brenda Ruth Bailey and Linda Lucille Bailey Bates was celebrated at Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital in Stephenville, Texas. The Bailey triplets were the first triplets ever born (November 14, 1955) at this hospital. They are the daughters of Kenneth and Joy Bailey of San Saba.

The San Saba Dillos (11 wins, 0 losses) will be traveling to McKinney, Texas to take part in the 2005 Texas Amateur Athletic Federation Youth State Flag Football Championships. Quarterback Tye Weyerts, center Michael McKinnerney, running back Kolton Ellis and receivers Isaac Zepeda, Kelan Verette and J. T. Mathis will be players to look for. The Dillo defense is loaded with talent which includes ends Sean Wilden and Patrick Phillips, tackles Russell Lowe, Gunner Hibler and linebacker Aaron Perez. The Dillos will be without defensive standout Chayce Young who will not be able to participate due to an injury.
