Dillo Band advances to Area!

  • The San Saba Golden Armadillo Band performed in the UIL Region 32 Marching Contest this October 15th in Burnet and earned a Division 1 Superior Rating from all three judges advancing them to the Area level contest. The Area contest will be held at Bastrop Memorial Stadium in Cedar Creek on Saturday, October 29th. The band's 2022 UIL program is titled “A Time For Us” and is telling the story of Romeo and Juliet.

The Golden Armadillo Band earned a Division 1 Superior Rating from all three judges. The Sweepstakes Award was created to reward excellent ratings in the three most measurable aspects of public school band curriculum – marching, prepared concert performance, and ability to sight read music.
