Keep San Saba Beautiful (KSSB) is excited to announce participation in the Plastic Bottle Recycling Project, a project implemented by Keep Texas Recycling, a program of Keep Texas Beautiful. The project is sponsored by Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, with the purpose of increasing plastic bottle education, recovery and recycling. To “kick off” the project in San Saba, KSSB is challenging residents to collect empty, clean, and dry soda and water bottles (without caps) and help KSSB keep more bottles out of the landfill!
The first collection of bottles will be at the city-wide cleanup scheduled for October 1, 2022. All San Saba County residents are eligible in this challenge and may bring their bagged bottles to the recycling center and/or the tent at the courthouse on the day of the cleanup. Prizes will be awarded to the top three collectors.
