Wow, what a couple weeks it has been! I first have to thank San Saba County Commissioner Pat Pool, Jackie Brister, Ginger Underwood, and Pete and Josh Henniger! What a blessing these people are. Through a collaborative effort, my tree crisis is cleaned up! We still, however, need to continue to pray for rain. It is so sad, hot, and dry outside!
The school year in Cherokee has officially started for my kiddos. My babies are growing so fast. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that I have a senior, junior, and a junior high 6th grader! No more Elementary, my dear Watson. *wink* I ask that you all can take a moment and lift up Jane Clark, as she is in need of prayers. Jane has been at Saint David’s hospital in Round Rock since last Friday morning. She will possibly be moving to the Austin Heart hospital pending room availability. She has had some complications and will be having a procedure done on Thursday. Please keep her and the Clark family in your thoughts. Jane is such a wonderful lady, and she cares so much for those around her. Please send her your love!
In some uplifting news, Pete Henniger has been approved for the newest cancer treatment starting September 1st! So far, the handful of steady treatments over the last three years have not succeeded for more than a few months at a time. All treatment was stopped a little over two months ago, and we have been waiting on pins and needles for this latest FDA approved treatment. We are so very hopeful, and also thankful, and know that each day God gives all of us is a blessing.
I hope that you all have an amazing week! Please remember to shoot me an email or even leave me a voicemail. I don’t have near the time I’d like to pick up a phone and call around the community. I’m sure there’s news to share, so don’t be shy!!! Just pretend you’re sitting around the table with your buddies on an early morning sippin’ a cup of joe. I know somebody out there has something to say…. even if it’s a wives' tale. ;-) Until next week, Brandie from the Bend countrybrandie@gmail.com 325-628-3545
