We are happy to announce the arrival of the newest resident in our Village. Evan Everett White was born July 12, 2022. He is the son of Coach Zack and Erin White. He was welcomed home by his three older brothers, Jackson, Caden, and Griffen.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake McKneely were happy to welcome a new daughter-in-law into their family. Curt McKneely married Victoria Barker in a double ring ceremony at the First United Methodist Church in San Angelo,Texas, on Saturday July 16th, at 5:00 p.m. The reception/dinner followed at the Ft. Concho Stables. Curt is a 2006 graduate of Cherokee High School.
We were blessed with a wonderful, if short, rain last week. Some reported as much ad 2.5 inches while others as little as .5 inch. However much anyone got it was very appreciated and desperately needed.
Southside BBQ is set to reopen on Friday, July 22. The new owners are Josh and Jessica Brown. We are so happy to have them here and look forward to having BBQ here again! Keeping a small business going is hard during the best of times, so all of the steady customers you can get certainly helps.
