Alice in Wonder Land

My sister-in-law is going home to Dresden tomorrow after rehabing in Zanesville from a fractured hip three months ago. Some changes need to be made at her home for safety and accomodating a walker.

I have been changing services for electric, internet and water from my daughters name to mine. When I made arrangements for the internet and wifi, I was instructed not to give the old equipment to the service man because they could not be trusted. So, I was wondering if I should have my pepper spray handy. The service man was very helpful and did a great job because he was a Christian and his father a pastor! I am thankful for God's help and protection.

I enjoyed a call from Debra in San Saba last week. Debra and her husband, Lupi, were members of Abundant Life Ministries that my husband Larry pastored when we first moved to San Saba in 2006. Debra is a prayer warrior and always concerned about others.

Last Tuesday after my luncheon in Dresden with my classmates, I stopped at the home that I was born and raised in. It is being renovated, so I took photos of it and will be able to see its completion and take more photos. I showed the photos to my niece, Beth Ann, when she visited me on Friday and to my daughter, Jenny, Saturday.

Early Sunday morning at 4 a.m., I woke up with the sound of my car's emergency beeping in my garage. I was able to click it off. On Saturday, the button on my car keys would not lock or unlock the doors. So I have to use the key, but it won't unlock the back doors. After I get this article sent to The San Saba News, I will call the Ford company. However, when I told my neighbor about my situation, he said it cost him $800.00 a key when he had to replace his, so he only replaced one. If that is the price, I will only replace one.

The July 4th devotional's topic was 'God's Great Do Nots.' DO NOT Fret, Fuss or Fear. My circumstances are NOT too much for God to handle.

Psalm 37:5.......Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. KJV
