The San Saba Commissioners’ Court met for a regular meeting on Monday, April 25th, in the Commissioners’ Courtroom. In Judge Byron Theodosis' absence, Commissioner Rickey Lusty called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. County Extension Agent Neal Alexander gave the invocation. Commissioner Lusty led everyone in the pledges to the American flag and the Texas flag. Audience for Concerned Citizens For Public Comment:
Mr. Gruesendorf sent a letter to the Court to invite them to a ceremony at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on April 27th at 2 p.m. when the church would be awarded a historical marker.
Judge Theodosis noted that the jail passed their inspection with flying colors. The Sheriff and his staff were congratulated by all. Special Action Items (and Non-Action Items):
1. Approve or Reject Memorandum of Understanding Between San Saba County and Richland Springs ISD For Law Enforcement:
This is just a formality vote. The RISD deputy can use the County’s radio and he agrees to also help out the San Saba Sheriff’s Office.
Decision: The Court unanimously approved the Memorandum of Understanding Between San Saba County and Richland Springs ISD For Law Enforcement.
2. Discuss and Take Possible Action On Expenditures For Highway Patrol 5325-009 Public Safety:
The Sheriff asked if he could send someone to take a class that would benefit all in the department.
Decision: After discussion, it was decided that no vote was needed since this would be using money already budgeted to the department.
3. Discuss and Approve CTCOG Executive Committee Representatives For San Saba County:
Decision: The Court unanimously agreed that this item could wait until the first of January of next year.

Action on CDL Licenses For County Road Employees:
Decision: After a long discussion, it was decided that no further action was needed by the Court at this time.
5. Discuss and Take Possible Action Accepting Donated Used Radio Equipment From Hamilton County:
Decision: The Court voted unanimously to approve accepting the donated used radio equipment from Hamilton County.
6. Approve Historical Marker/ Bootprint for Former Law Enforcement Official To Be Placed On Courthouse Grounds:
Decision: The Court voted 4-1 that the application be sent for a Historical Marker/Bootprint for Former Law Enforcement Official (Andrew Neil) to be Placed on Courthouse Grounds.
7. Approve Resolution Declaring The ARPA Funds The County Has/Will Receive Classified As “Lost Revenue”:
Decision: The Court voted unanimously to approve the Resolution Declaring The ARPA Funds The County Has/Will Receive Classified As “Lost Revenue.”
8. Take Possible Action Concerning Burn Ban (Current Status: Burn Ban In EFFECT As of 02-14-2022 expires 05 15 22):
Decision: This item was tabled.
9. Approve or Reject Proposed Amendments and/or Line Item Transfers:
Ms. VanBeck presented two Line Item Transfers.
Decision: The Court voted unanimously to approve the two Line Item Transfers.
10. Approve or Reject Proposed Accounts Payable:
Decision: The Court voted unanimously to approve the Proposed Accounts Payable.
11. Discuss Next Commissioners’ Court Date and Time:
The next Commissioners’ Court meeting will be held Monday, May 9, 2022, at 9:00 am. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom.
12. Adjourn:
Commissioner Lusty adjourned the meeting at 9:57 a.m.
